COLLIERVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- The Tennessee basketball program received an early Christmas present Thursday night: Jarnell Stokes.
Stokes, a 6'8" power forward ranked by Rivals as the 11th best player in his class, announced that he will attend Tennessee.
The Memphis native picked the Vols over the likes of Memphis, Florida, Arkansas, Kentucky, and UConn.
Stokes plans on enrolling at Tennessee in January. He can begin his collegiate career once he is cleared by the NCAA.
The 5-star prospect already graduated from Southwind High School.
Stokes isn't playing high school basketball this season because the TSSAA ruled him athletically ineligible for violating transfer rules.
