Jeff Gordon snaps winless streak, wins at Phoenix

PHOENIX, Ariz. (WVLT) -- Jeff Gordon dominated the field Sunday at Phoenix International Raceway, winning the Subway Fresh Fit 500 to snap a nearly two-year streak of futility.

Gordon, who led the most laps in the race, held off Kyle Busch, Jimmie Johnson, Kevin Harvick and Ryan Newman for the victory.

Knoxville native and Daytona 500 winner Trevor Bayne finished 40th after wrecking early in the race.

Gordon hadn't won in 66 races, dating back to April 2009.
