OMAHA, Neb. (utladyvols.com) -- Tennessee rising senior Kelsey Floyd finished fourth in the 100-meter butterfly Tuesday evening at the U.S. Olympic Swimming Trials in Omaha, Neb.

Floyd swam progressively faster in each round of her race the last two days, clocking a time of 58.22 seconds in the finals. Former Lady Vol and 2008 Olympic silver medalist Christine Magnuson was sixth in 58.60.

Top two finishers Dana Vollmer (56.60) and Claire Donahue (57.57) will represent Team USA in the London Games next month.

Lady Vol Jenny Connolly will have a shot to make the Olympic team Wednesday when she swims in the finals of 100 backstroke. She recorded the fifth-best time in the evening semifinals to advance, touching the wall in 1:00.58.

While Connolly was the only Tennessee swimmer to progress out of preliminaries Tuesday afternoon, many UT competitors clocked strong times in the pool at the CenturyLink Center. All told, six swimmers recorded top 30 finishes.

In the 100 backstroke, Lauren Solernou was 23rd in 1:02.75 and Kate McNeilis took 25th in 1:02.80.

Molly Hannis was 27th in the 100 breaststroke in 1:10.22, and Kirstyn Colonias was two seconds behind in 1:12.08. Lindsay Gendron swam the 400 freestyle in 4:15.56.

For the Vols, Ricky Henahan swam 55.80 in the 100 backstroke, good for 20th place. Sam Rairden was 64th in 57.35.
