ST. THOMAS, Virgin Islands (utladyvols.com) -- Tennessee got 13 points from junior forward Glory Johnson and 11 from freshman point guard Meighan Simmons, but it wasn't enough to overcome 29 turnovers and 10 threes from Georgetown in a 69-58 loss on the final night of competition at the Paradise Jam.
The Lady Vols arrived at the tournament with a perfect 4-0 record and a No. 4 national ranking. They defeated Missouri and Georgia Tech easily on the first two days, but couldn't take a third game in as many nights.
Georgetown's Sugar Rodgers scored a game-high 26 points on the strength of 10-of-18 shooting overall and a 5-of-7 clip from three. Monica McNutt added four threes and 13 points.
Tennessee's 29 turnovers came against a swarming pressure defense from Georgetown. The Lady Vols made only three of 18 three-point attempts.
