KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT)-- Maryville DE Dylan Jackson had several good options for college. He held offers from Northwestern, Vanderbilt and Duke. But in the end, he wanted to play in front of 102,455 screaming fans. Jackson chose to play for Tennessee.
The 3-star member of the Class of 2015 committed to Tennessee Thursday evening. Playing for the Orange and White means something special to Jackson. "I moved here a few years ago and it's kind of hard not to adopt that tradition," says Jackson.
Dylan points to one game in particular that made his decision easier. "What really made me want to go there was that Georgia game I went to. The atmosphere there was unbelievable," the 6-6 Jackson says.
Of course, having Butch Jones helps as well. "I love the coaching staff and everyone apart of it."
When asked what he most needs to work on during his final season of high school football before heading into SEC play, Jackson had a simple one word answer "speed".
