KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Scott Meadows is out as Catholic High School's football coach.
Meadows told Local 8 Sports early Monday evening that it was a "mutual decision" to part ways.
Meadows coached the Irish from 2009-2012, posting an overall record of 21-23.
Catholic finished 4-6 this season and missed the playoffs for a second straight year.
The East Tennessee coaching fraternity is very familiar with Meadows. He's coached for 25 years, having success at Sequoyah, Alcoa, Jefferson County, and William Blount, before taking the job with the Irish.
Meadows coached Alcoa to a state championship in 2000. He wasn't sure if he would coach again.
