Knoxville, Tenn.--(UTSports) Knoxville-based Regal Entertainment Group is showing the Pat Summitt Foundation public service announcement in its theatres nationwide throughout the month of September.
University of Tennessee sports legends Summitt, Peyton Manning and Kara Lawson teamed up with a local film crew from RIVR Media in June to tape the 30-second spot in separate shoots at Neyland Stadium and Thompson-Boling Arena. The PSA is running during movie previews from coast to coast this month.
The objective of the ad is to bring awareness to the fight against Alzheimer's and seek support for the Pat Summitt Foundation's drive to find a cure and defeat the disease that forced the NCAA's all-time winningest coach to retire early as head coach of the Tennessee women's basketball team.
