MARYVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Resmondo did it again.
For a seventh straight time.
In an epic ending to the 46th annual Smoky Mountain Classic, Resmondo beat top-seeded Laservision 62-60 Sunday afternoon at Maryville's Sandy Springs Park.
In the bottom of the seventh, Resmondo won on a walk-off grand from Lee Powers.
"It's just crazy. It's hard to explain," Resmondo pitcher Andy Purcell said.
"When it comes down to a walk-off, it's just what everyone wants to do and there's just no better feeling than ending a game with a walk-off. It never gets old. This is one of the main tournaments that we look forward to all year and it's almost like winning the World Series, winning this one," Purcell continued.
This was the third straight year Resmondo and Laservision met in the finals.
