KODAK – Following their ten-game road trip, the Smokies return home to Kodak to begin a five-game series with the Mobile BayBears, the Double-A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks, on Wednesday, May 21 at Smokies Stadium in what is sure to be an exciting, fun-filled week.
The festivities kick off on Wednesday, May 21 with NASCAR great Rusty Wallace scheduled to appear and throw out a first pitch. Wallace will also help with the Midnight Mustang Giveaway, with the winner receiving a 2014 Ford Mustang that has been customized by the racing legend. Fans can register by visiting Rusty Wallace Ford in Newport, participating Hardee’s locations or designated WIMZ remote broadcasts.
It’s also the Smokies’ annual Peanut Free Night at the ballpark, which means no concessions items with peanuts will be served that evening, while the stadium will be rinsed and cleaned beforehand to remove as much peanut residue from the seats, concourse and other areas as possible.
Fans will also want to bring empty stomachs for a smorgasbord of a feast on All You Can Eat Wednesday, with all the hot dogs, hamburgers, nachos, corn dogs, fries and small Pepsi products you can handle available for just $19.99. Tickets for kids 12 and under are just $17.99, while All You Can Eat wristbands for those who have already purchased tickets can be purchased at the game for $13 dollars. First pitch for Wednesday evening is scheduled for 7:15 p.m.

Friday night is sure to be a blast with Fireworks Friday on May 23, presented by Pepsi, Coors Light, Knoxville News Sentinel, WIVK and WVLT, and be sure to stay after the game for the best post-game fireworks show in town. It’s also the first Free Ride Friday of the season, with one lucky fan riding home with a new car thanks to Rusty Wallace Kia. All Friday night Smokies home games are sponsored by Remote Area Medical, and first pitch is slated for 7:15 p.m. at Smokies Stadium.
It is sure to be an action-packed Saturday evening in Kodak on May 24. Fans will want to arrive early, as the first 1,000 fans through the gates will receive a free T-shirt courtesy of Hampton Inn and Suites. In addition, thanks to the Smokies' flagship radio station WNML The Sports Animal, one lucky fan will receive a trip for two to Chicago to see Tennessee's parent club, the Chicago Cubs play in the friendly confines of historic Wrigley field. Start time is set for 6:15 p.m. at Smokies Stadium.
