NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Sevier County head coach Steve Brewer is one of four Tennessee coaches nominated this week for the Titans High School Coach of the Week Award.
Brewer’s Sevier County Smoky Bears rallied from 23-7 deficit, in the second half, defeating the Dobyns-Bennett Indians 34-30. The Bears had lost 10 of 12 to the Indians, including a pair of close losses last season, 42-41 in regular season play and 28-21 in the playoffs.
Others up for the honor are Scott Murray of Nashville’s Hunter’s Lane, Orentheus Taylor of Jackson Central-Merry and Darren Bowling of Union City High School.
