Smokies clinch second half division title

KODAK, Tenn.(release) -- After getting shutout in last night’s 2-0 loss to the Mobile BayBears, the Tennessee Smokies pitched a shutout of their own, blanking the BayBears by a final score of 6-0.

Smokies starter Matt Loosen (2-3) pitched seven strong innings, only giving up three hits, three walks and struck out six.

With the win, the Smokies clinched the second half North Division and a spot in the 2013 Southern League playoffs.
