(UNDATED) -- Scott Stallings can now add British Open to his growing resume.
The Knoxville resident is in this week's field, after another golfer won in Scotland.
Lefty birdied the first playoff hole to beat South Africa's Branden Grace to win the Scottish Open. The winner of the event is automatically in the Open Championship, but since Mickelson was already exempt, the invite goes to the first non-exempt golfer, which was Stallings.
This will be Stallings first British Open and fifth career major tournament.
The 2013 British Open is being played at Muirfield in Scotland.
