Stone Memorial falls in state semifinal game, 56-47

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WVLT) -- The Stone Memorial girls basketball team saw its tremendous season come up one game short of the title game.

The Lady Panthers lost to Obion County 56-47 in the class AA semifinals Friday afternoon on the campus of Middle Tennessee State.

Stone Memorial led by as many as five points early in the contest, but the Rebels slowly took over, building a thirteen point lead just before the end of the first half.

Ashley Cox led the Lady Panthers with 13 points.

Stone Memorial ends the year with a 23-12 record.
