(UNDATED) -- The EA SPORTS NCAA Football Cover Vote has advanced to the third round as the field is now down to the sweet 16. After over 1.2 million fan votes were cast on the official EA SPORTS NCAA Football Facebook page, Tennessee has continued its run for the cover of the next edition of the game.
Voting for the next round begins today, and votes are reset to zero, giving the final 16 schools an equal playing field for advancing to the elite eight. Fans can rally behind their favorite schools to secure a spot in round four of the tournament by visiting the official EA SPORTS NCAA Football Facebook page and voting as frequently as they’d like now through January 22.
Below is a list of the 16 schools advancing to the next round.

4. Ohio State
6. Penn State
7. Notre Dame
11. Florida State
Fans are still coming out in droves to support their school, as the Cover Vote has tallied over 1.2 million votes so far. Third round voting will continue until January 22nd, and potential cover athletes from the final eight schools will be unveiled from January 23rd through February 3rd. Cover athlete-specific voting will begin on Monday, February 4th.
