KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- The University of Tennessee has announced the new "Voice of Neyland Stadium.'

Jeff Jarnagin, PA announcer for UT's men's basketball program, will succeed Bobby Denton.

Denton, the Neyland Stadium P.A. announcer for nearly half a century, passed away in April. He had been the stadium's public address announcer since 1967. His most famous catchphrase, "It's football time in Tennessseeeeeee," became a staple of home games.

Jarnigan posted a tribute in honor of Denton on his Facebook page in April 2014.

He wrote, "There was a reason [Bobby Denton] was so very good at PA duty. He loved every single second of being a part of UT Football. I sincerely hope that UT has an archive of his iconic phrases and that this fall and beyond we honor the tradition of his renderings of "It's football time in Tennessee" and "We ask that you pay these prices and please PAY NO MORE."

More details on air and online as they develop.
