KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (release) -- Tennessee basketball coach Donnie Tyndall, assistant coaches Al Pinkins, Adam Howard and Chris Shumate and director of basketball operations Justin Phelps met with the media Tuesday in Knoxville.
For Tyndall’s staff members, Tuesday’s one-hour availability at Pratt Pavilion was their first time visiting with reporters since arriving at UT.
“Each and every one of these guys I’ve known,” Tyndall said. “That’s always important to a coach from a loyalty standpoint. Work-ethic wise, these guys are tireless workers. There’s not a staff in college basketball that will work harder than this group. They’re connected throughout the Southeast and nationally in regard to recruiting. They understand my system and style of play and what my expectations will be every day – which is simply to never be outworked.
“So I’m very excited. I’m blessed to have an outstanding staff – not just of great coaches and recruiters, but really, really good people.”
