KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Tennessee senior defensive end Ben Martin has had surgery to repair his right Achilles' tendon.
The 6-foot-3, 251-pound Cincinnati native missed the 2010 season after injuring his left Achilles' tendon early in fall camp.
Martin underwent surgery on Wednesday after injuring the right tendon Monday while working out. He is expected to be able to play for the Vols during the 2011 season.
Martin has made 11 starts and played in 33 games from 2007-09. During those three seasons he recorded 63 tackles, 4.5 sacks, 6.5 tackles for loss and three forced fumbles.
