KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT/SUBMITTED) -- The University of Tennessee department of athletics announced that all of the school’s initial ticket allotment has been reserved for the Vols’ game against Virginia Tech on Saturday, Sept. 10, 2016 at Bristol Motor Speedway.
The initial allotment for Tennessee for the “Battle at Bristol” game was 40,000 tickets, and the school has taken deposits for 35,000 of those seats. The remainder of the allotment, which totals 5,000 tickets, will be allocated to UT students in the weeks leading up to the game in 2016.
“The overwhelming response to the Battle at Bristol speaks to the passion of our amazing Tennessee fans,” said Vice Chancellor and Director of Athletics Dave Hart. “Our fans’ excitement and their strong and immediate response to the Battle at Bristol game, which is still 32 months away, says everything you need to know about the most devoted fan base in the nation.”
