Knoxville, Tenn. (WVLT/CBSSports.com) – Tennessee cornerback JaRon Toney is now just Tennessee senior JaRon Toney, as the fifth-year senior has decided to give up football and leave the Tennessee program. Coach Butch Jones says Toney is on pace to graduate this summer and will pursue a professional career off the football field.

Coach Jones told Local8 Sports Toney is graduating. Jones also told the Knoxville News Sentinel, "I'm very excited for him getting his college degree, and I'm very appreciative of everything he's done for Tennessee."

Toney began his Tennessee career as a walk-on in 2010 before earning a role on special teams in 2011. Toney then spent the last two seasons as a cornerback for the Vols in their nickel package.

He finishes his career having made 79 tackles in 28 games. He also returned five kicks for 98 yards in 2013.
