KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Vols' offensive lineman Kevin Revis is transferring from Tennessee.
"It was a mixture of things," Revis told WVLT by phone Wednesday night.
Revis could not elaborate on the specifics of why he's leaving Tennessee, but he did say that head coach Derek Dooley granted him a full release.
"Some things that I couldn't control, that's basically all I can say right now. I made alot of great friends and I had a lot of great teammates. I love all my teammates that I played with, all the guys I know, a lot of them are like my brothers, all the offensive lineman, they're like my family," Revis said.
The 6'1" Revis signed with the Vols in 2009. He redshirted his freshman season. He played in one game in 2010.
Coming out of Rhea County High School, Revis was a finalist for the Tennessee Mr. Football award.
