LONDON, England (WVLT) - Dozens in Lenoir City gathered to cheer on Claire Donahue racing in London.
Claire Donahue's supporters wore their red, white, and blue to watch the Lenoir City native at Chili's this afternoon to watch her race.
She finished fifth in the semifinal round of the women's 100-meter butterfly to qualify for tomorrow's final.
It's been two weeks since she left for Europe after training close to home in Knoxville.
Her brother says he hasn't had much contact with her but is excited to cheer on with friends and family.
"I mean it's a dream come true for her. And it's an incredible experience for even the family to have. Just to say that my sister is an Olympian. I mean it's incredible," said Dean Donahue.
