Knoxville, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Head coach Scott Cummings returns to lead the rebels who finished an impressive 9-3 last year making it into the second round of the state playoffs.
Gone is Ryan Francis, so the Rebs will be inexperienced at quarterback, but the new signal caller will work behind a veteran offensive line.
Playing experience or not, effort will be the key for a group that's full of potential, but fighting the camp blues right now says running back Justin Hodge, "...everybody is just slacking a little bit and we've just got to pick it up a little more as a team. We've got alot to prove and we can't take any days off we've just got to do what we've got to do and go out there and get the W."
Coach Cummings says it's important right now to keep his young men focused, "...Our job needs to be to find different ways off keeping kids motivated. All I want is a bunch of hard working blue collared guys. And if we can get that and show some toughness, we've got a chance to be pretty special."
The Rebels open the season Friday night August 23rd at Karns High School.
