Catholic dropped from 5-A to 4-A this season and will take on the likes of two-time defending Class 3A champion CAK, but the coach says he more than welcomes the competition, " We want to put a good product on the field and you know some people are saying its going to take time, I hope it doesn't, I am ready to go this year and I expect a lot out of our players this year."
Lineman Logan Irwin believe the coach has his new team on track saying, "Its been difficult at times but it has been fun too. Its been a lot more conditioning and fast pace this year than it has been but I think it will pay off in the end."
The Irish open their season Friday August 23rd hosting Notre Dame.
