Knoxville, Tenn. (WVLT) -- The Grainger Grizzlies boast a strong senior class that returns 6 starters on both sides of the ball, including quarterback Lance Morton who is now in his 4th year as a starter at Grainger.
Using that experience, Grainger hopes to make back to back playoff appearances for the first time since the 07-08 seasons. Coach Chad Tate says, "We've got a great Senior class. I mean that is where I would put our strength as a football team. We've got a lot of guys that have played. We've got some guys that are 3 year starters for us."
Senior quarterback Lance Morton adds, "This year we've got a lot of Seniors and a lot of people that played last year. So we should be pretty experienced as far as our football team goes."
The Grizzlies open the season on the road against Union County.
