Knoxville, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Brian Pankey comes over from AE to lead the Jackets. Pankey comes back home after having played for legendary Kignston coach Vic King.
While he only returns 3 starters on each side of the ball, Pankey says his young players are hungry and that bodes well for the future.
He also says the future means breaking from some of the traditions
of the past saying, "...When I played here we ran a lot of split back, different formations and and that's been the hard part, these kids have
been around the wing-T for 5 or 6 years so it's kind of hard to break old habits but we're going to be lining up in multiple formations and
just trying to trick people I guess."
The Jackets finished 7-5 last season making it to the second round of the playoffs. Our prep previews continue on line at local8now.com.
