KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Davis Tarwater is staying home.
The University of Tennessee announced early Tuesday evening that the Olympic gold medalist will be with the Tennessee swimming and diving program as a volunteer assistant coach.
Tarwater won gold during the London Olympics as part of the United States' 800-meter freestyle relay team.
Tarwater, a Webb school graduated, was a three-time NCAA champion as a collegiate swimmer in Michigan.
