Tennessee senior diver Michael Wright was selected as the Southeastern Conference Diver of the Week for the second consecutive week, the league office announced Tuesday.
The Forest Park, Ill., native dominated the boards at Florida, sweeping the diving competition. On the 1‐meter, Wright earned a first‐place score of 353.10, more than 20 points ahead of the second‐place finisher. He then beat out teammate Ryan Helms on the 3‐meter with a 408.98‐point score.
With the sweep, Wright has now won both boards at three dual‐meets this season and owns nine individual wins on the season.
This marks the fourth time Wright has garnered the accolade this season and the first time in consecutive weeks.
