Knoxville, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Coach Butch Jones did receive some good news Tuesday off the field in the form of a big commitment for
his much heralded 2014 signing class. 6'3" 280 pound defensive lineman DaVonte Lambert addresses a major position of need in that class. Rated as a 4-star athlete by 24/7, Lambert told local8 sports coach Jones was the key in his picking UT saying, "...He not only talked about football, he talked about lfe, he talked to me about the Vol for life program, when I sat down the last day at Tennessee
knowing that I had to come back home, coach Jones, he gave me a big hug no coach coach gave me a hug like that so I just felt like that was the right place for me and my grandma she really loved coach Jones."
The Vols lose six defensive linemen off this year's roster including all four projected starters. so adding Lambert is huge in more ways than one for next season.
