Georgia State, Akron, Troy part of Vols' 2012 schedule

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Tennessee appears to have filled out its non-conference portion of next year's football schedule.

Already slated to play North Carolina State in Atlanta in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Sept. 1, a UT spokesperson confirmed to WVLT Tuesday night that the Vols will host Georgia State next September.

The game is scheduled for Sept. 8. The Atlanta Journal Constitution first reported the matchup.

Akron and Troy are also a part of Tennessee's 2012 schedule. Both schools list the Vols as an opponent next year on their respective websites.

Akron is scheduled to play in Neyland Stadium Sept. 22, while the Trojans will visit the Vols for a Nov. 3 matchup.
