KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (release) -- Madison Shipman doubled twice, going 3-for-3 with one RBI, the Lady Vols offense punched eight hits, while Ivy Renfroe retired five. It all added up to the third-ranked Lady Vols beating Auburn Saturday 6-1.
Renfroe is now 15-3 with the win.
Tennessee improves to 37-6 on the year and 11-3 in the league. The Lady Vols look to sweep the Tigers, facing Auburn in game three of the series Sunday at 1:30 p.m. ET.
