LOUDON, Tenn. (WVLT) -- For the fifth straight year, and for the 44th time in the series, the "Battle of the Bridge" belongs to Loudon.
A big second half lifted the Redskins over rival Lenoir City 43-14. The game was televised on MyVLT as part of the Rivalry Thursday package.
Lenoir City held a 14-10 halftime lead, but the Redskins churned out the yards in the second half. Running backs Matthew Wallace and Jake Brown combined for 335 yards on the ground. Loudon scored 33 unanswered points in the second half to take control.
This rivalry was first played in 1923. Thursday's meeting marked the 82nd time the two teams faced each other.
