OAK RIDGE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Oak Ridge head coach Joe Gaddis is back for his second season with the Wildcats.
He returns a decent amount of talent from last year's 7-4 playoff team.
The Wildcats have seven starters back on both sides of the ball.
Oak Ridge will be inexperienced on the offensive and defensive lines, but Gaddis feels good about what he has at the skill positions, citing depth and experience at both wide receiver and running back.
Another reason for optimism: it's the second time around for the Wildcats in Gaddis' system.
"Our kids have played it for a year now and are much more comfortable and familiar," Gaddis said.
"We're far ahead of where we were this time a year ago."
Oak Ridge opens up the season August 29 at home against Farragut.
