NEW YORK (WVLT) -- Former Alcoa and Kentucky wide receiver Randall Cobb has been invited to attend the NFL Draft this weekend in New York City.
A record 25 prospects will attend the draft. The NFL typically only invites prospects who have a solid chance of being drafted in the first round.
The draft will begin Thursday at 8 p.m. ET. The second and third rounds will take place Friday night beginning at 6 p.m. Rounds 4 through 7 are scheduled for Saturday, starting at noon ET.
Cobb left Kentucky after his junior season. He caught 84 passes for 1,017 yards and seven touchdowns in 2010. Cobb also served as the Wildcats' primary return specialist and filled in at quarterback.
Cobb led Alcoa to state championships in 2006 and 2007. He won the AA Mr. Football award during his senior season.
