DANDRIDGE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Head coach Kenny Cobble is entering his second season at Jefferson County.
In year number one, Cobble and the Patriots made it to the playoffs and finished with a 5-6 record.
In 2011, the Patriots were relatively balanced, mixing the pass with the run. This fall, that's not expected to be the case.
"I'd say we're looking to run first for sure," Cobble said.
"We'll definitely have to pound the rock and set the tone on offense and be real physical," running back Ethan McFall said.
"Our defense is definitely one our strong points," McFall added. "We've got a lot of returning starters and a lot of experience and we'll really hang our hat on defense and running the ball."
Jefferson County opens up the season August 17 at Heritage. The Patriots won last year's meeting 31 to 7.
