Countdown to Kickoff: Clinton

CLINTON, Tenn. (WVLT) -- 2011 wasn't very fun for Clinton. The Dragons finished 0-10.

"If anything it's been one of those things like a chip on their shoulder," head coach Josh Kerr said when referring to the winless season.

"It's motivation to come in and prove something. We've got something to prove."

This fall, the Dragons should have the tools to have more success. Clinton returns plenty of experience. The Dragons have eight starters back on offense, seven on defense.

"This year we're mainly seniors," lineman Gunter Hedges said.

"We've all been together since we were little kids. Basically, we're just a big brother out there. We all help each other and stick together."

Clinton opens up the year August 24 at home against Dobyns-Bennett.
