OAK RIDGE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- When it comes to football in the state of Tennessee, only five teams have won more titles than Oak Ridge.
Yet, the Wildcats have won it all since 1991.
Head coach Scott Blade is now in his fourth year at Oak Ridge, so he's had the time to build the program his way.
He'll return eleven total starters from a team that went 9-4 last year and made it to the state quarterfinals.
"We've been thru some pretty good battles over the last couple of years," Blade said.
"We have a lot of seniors. We're really blessed there. We're looking forward to a great season. We're excited to get this thing going and excited to actually throw a football."
"We're more of a senior dominated team," lineman Chris Ramsay added. "We've all been with Coach Blade for four years. We're all ready to get where everyone hopes to get, working real hard towards it (a state title)."
Oak Ridge opens up the season at Farragut August 24. The Admirals have won the last three games in the series.
