PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- It's a new era for Pigeon Forge football.
Longtime East Tennessee coach Scott Meadows is entering his first season with the Tigers.
Meadows has journeyed across the region coaching football.
Alcoa, Sequoyah, Jefferson County, William Blount, and most recently, Catholic, have all been stops on the Meadows coaching train.
His presence at Pigeon Forge brings an instant credibility to the program.
As offensive lineman Presley Turner put it, Meadows brings "hope" to the Tigers.
Pigeon Forge is coming off a 4-6 season. Meadows will have just two starters back on offense from the 2012 team, with five on defense.
While depth will be a challenge for the Tigers, Meadows has loved his new team's work ethic.
Pigeon Forge opens up the season August 23 against Cosby.
