KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- South-Doyle is a team on the rise.
The Cherokees are coming off their first winning season in over a decade.
And the goods are there to make it another winning season this fall.
The 'Kees return eight starters on offense. It's a group that has the physical tools, and the athletic ability to go with it.
"I'm excited," head coach Clark Duncan said.
"Offensively we've got some kids that's exciting to watch. Sometimes you just sit back and say 'wow, how did that happen?'. They make us look like good coaches."
Brody Rollins, who plays quarterback and safety for South-Doyle, is excited to lead his team to the step.
"We're going to keep going with the same offense. I think we're going to throw it more this year, so it should be good," Rollins said.
South-Doyle opens up the season August 23 against Heritage.
