JACKSBORO, Tenn. (WVLT) -- It's a new era for the Campbell County football program, as Justin Price is the team's new head coach.
Price left Anderson County, where he was the Mavericks' offensive coordinator, for the position.
It's the 27-year old's first head coaching job. The task at hand won't be an easy one, as Campbell County only has three playoff appearances to its name.
With Price in charge, the Cougars will go to a wide-open, spread-it-out, offense.
"One of our offensive philosophies is to maximize every player we have," Price said. "With this spread system it gives every player a chance to catch the football. You don't know where it's going to come from and hopefully we can implement that."
Quarterback Tuffy Shoupe will run the offense. He brings experience to the position and he should have plenty of targets to throw too, as Campbell Co. has depth at wide receiver.
Campbell County went 1-9 in 2011. The Cougars open up the season August 19 at Seymour
