NEW YORK (WVLT) -- Farragut catcher Nicky Delmonico and Tennessee pitcher Stephen Gruver were each taken on the second day of the MLB First-year Player Draft Tuesday.
Delmonico went in the sixth round to the Baltimore Orioles. He helped lead Farragut to four consecutive state championships during his time with the Admirals.
Gruver was drafted by the Minnesota Twins in the seventh round. He started 14 games for the Diamond Vols last season, compiling a 5-7 record and a 3.95 ERA.
