(UNDATED) -- Friday Night Lights started a day early this week for several area teams.

In the MyVLT Game of the Week it was Austin East topping Fulton 12-7. The Roadrunners took the lead in the second quarter on a Jyshon Forbes bootleg and relied on their defense for the win.

Pigeon Forge won the battle of unbeatens 26-17 over Gibbs. Chase Travis led the Tigers, scoring both first half TDs for Pigeon Forge.

Cocke County rallied on the road for a 43-33 win at Seymour. Down by 10 in the 3rd, the Fighting Cockes scored a rushing TD and followed that up a minute later with punt return TD to take the lead.

In the final game involving an area team, Claiborne fell 28-6 to Chuckey-Doak.
