KNOXVILLE (WVLT) -- George Bullock is so excited about being a Vol, he showed up to the TV interview wearing orange.
Bullock, a kicker at West High School, is a lifelong Tennessee fan. His parents have season tickets, but after a lifetime of attending games, he's preparing to take the field at Neyland Stadium.
Hours after receiving a scholarship offer Friday, he committed to the Vols in a phone call to offensive coordinator Jim Chaney. He chose Tennessee over Navy, who had also offered him a scholarship.
Bullock says his specialty is kicking off. Regardless of his strong leg, it will be a challenge to see playing time for the next couple seasons, with Michael Palardy and Matt Darr holding down the kicker and punter spots, respectively.
But Bullock says he isn't afraid of competition, and will enter fall camp in 2012 ready to improve.
