Daughter of UCONN's women's head coach posts tribute to Pat Summitt

STORRS, Conn. (WVLT) -- The latest accolades bestowed upon Lady Vol Head Coach Emeritus Pat Summitt are coming from an unexpected source, the daughter of UCONN women's head basketball coach Gino Auriemma.

Alysa Auriemma wrote a "Tribute to Pat Summitt" recently. In her blog post, she described Summitt as a "titan of women's basketball" and that she "practically is women's basketball."

The younger Auriemma went on to write that she was 11 years-old when she first met Summitt and that she has had enormous respect for her ever since.
