Knoxville--(WVLT-TV), Pat Summitt and her Lady Vols are about to embark on another NCAA tournament run.
The legend is shooting for her 9th national championship. But what about beyond this season, will Pat be back
on the Lady Vols bench next year?
Well it's something just about everyone is speculating about
Despite the diagnosis of Alzheimer's, early onset dementia, coach
Summitt has bravely led her Lady Vols into battle this season.
In fact, the coach was back on the practice floor Wednesday helping prepare her team for it's first round NCAA tournament match up Saturday against UT-Martin.
Make no mistake, the focus right now is on her Lady Vols and the task at hand, but you couldn't blame her for thinking about what lies ahead and for the first time, after practice yesterday, Summitt offered this glimpse about what what the future might hold for her:
" I love the game and whether I'm here at UT, I may or may not coach, it is what it is, I'm not thinking about it now, I'm just trying to help this team, that's number one."
Pat has always taught, put team before yourself and right now
that is very much her focus during a time of year that always has been and continues to be very important to her.
