Knoxville, Tenn. (WVLT) -- We've been talking a lot about UT football recruiting lately
and rightfully so, but coach Cuonzo martin and his basketball
Vols are also making a little noise.
four-star point guard Larry Austin pledged his commitment to the Vols today. Three of the top four recruiting services rank him as one of the top 100 players in his class. The 6-1 austin, who'll join the team this time next year, shuns Kansas State, Memphis, Oklahoma State and Wake Forest in picking UT. Austin says he expects to come in and contribute right away. His coach Chuck Shanklin says his relationship with Cuonzo Martin is what sealed the deal.
Austin becomes UT's third commitment in the 2013-14 signing class, joining forward Philip Cofer and wing Jordan Cornish. The Vols will lose four scholarship seniors after next year -and possibly junior Jarnell stokes as well...
