Vols UpTo 19 in AP Poll; Lady Vols Remain Fourth

New York (AP) -- The top eleven schools in the rankings held their same positions from last week, and West Virginia has moved into the Associated Press Top 25 for the first time this season.

UCLA opened its PAC-10 season with home wins over Washington and Washington State to get to 13-and-0, and is number one for a sixth consecutive week. The Bruins received all but one first-place vote from the 72-member national media panel to easily outdistance North Carolina, which is number two for a third straight week. The 12-and-1 Tar Heels got the other first-place vote.

Florida holds on to number three and is followed by Wisconsin, Duke, Ohio State, Arizona, Alabama, Kansas, Pittsburgh and Texas A&M.

Oklahoma State moved up one spot to number 12 and is followed by Butler, LSU, Marquette, Oregon, Notre Dame, Connecticut, Tennessee and Air Force.

Then it's Nevada, Memphis, Clemson and Washington.

West Virginia improved to 11-and-1 with an 81-to-71 victory over previously unbeaten Connecticut on Saturday and makes its season debut at number 25.
