(Sports Overtime) -- Tennessee's already tough non conference basketball schedule, could be adding another of college basketball's big boys.
Our sports partners at the Knoxville News Sentinel and govolsxtra.com are reporting that the Vols are close to reaching a deal in which the Orange would play at Gonzaga on December 29th in the fifth annual "Battle in Seattle."
No contract is signed, but according to Vols assistant Tony Jones, who spoke with the Sentinel today, there have been some preliminary discussions between the two schools.
If the matchup takes place, it would likely be a top 25 game. The Vols are expected to be a top ten team next season. Gonzaga is also likely to be ranked heading into the 2007-2008 season.
