Former UT signee commits to Central Florida

ATLANTA (WVLT) -- New Tennessee basketball coach Cuonzo Martin is 1-for-2 in his attempt to retain the two players who signed scholarship players when Bruce Pearl was head coach.

Former Tennessee basketball signee Kevin Ware has committed to Central Florida, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Martin released Ware from his scholarship after the 6-foot-4 shooting guard requested it.

Ware is rated as a four-star prospect by Rivals.com. He also had scholarship offers from Georgia, Louisville, UCLA, Alabama and others.

Ware cited early playing time as the primary factor for his decision to attend UCF.
