KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT-TV) -- Well, you never know what you might find from day to day at UT football spring practice.

Our camera caught something very interesting over at UT football practice on Tuesday afternoon.

Taking part in Spring drills with the Vols is basketball team point guard Melvin Goins.

Goins has completed his basketball eligibility, but we're now told he has one year of football eligibility remaining.

Goins is working out at defensive back and currently wearing the jersey number 7.

Melvin is certainly a tough young man, it'll be interesting to see how physical the diminutive one can be on the gridiron!
