Lady Vols land one of nation's elite prospects

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Tennessee is starting to blaze its own Oregon Trail.

Portland's Jaime Nared committed to the Lady Vols Tuesday night.

""I'm going to Tennessee!!!!!!!," Nared posted her on Twitter account (@jaimenaredd)

Nared, a 6'1" wing, is considered by ESPN to be the number one player at her position, and number five overall prospect, in the class of 2014.

Should Nared follow thru with her commitment, she'll give the Lady Vols three players from Oregon on its roster.

Mercedes Russell (Springfield, Oregon) and Jordan Reynolds (Portland) are freshmen for the Lady Vols. Nared, Russell, and Reynolds all played together for an Oregon AAU team.
